SETUP AND MAINTAIN "CROPS"
In Producepak, "Crops" are basically a planting, eg: we planted ONE variety on a specific date, lets give that planting a "Crop" name. The Crop name can be used for recalls and traceability and will be automatically recorded on any inventory created when you select a Crop. If you planted two varieties, then that's TWO Crops.
From Dashboards > Yield, select the settings icon at top right to access the Crops screen. Create a record for each Crop you have planted, or intend to plant, you can create Crops for the entire season in advance if you like.
Crop name can be anything you want, however, it must be unique. Try adding the year number or a serial number if you replant on the same area multiple times in one season.
Crop area will allow Producepak to report on yield per hectare/acre. Enter your Crop size in either hectare or acre, your choice.
Active / Inactive: When a Crop has finished being harvested, make it inactive so no one accidentally uses this Crop to create Inventory; also makes the Crop dropdown smaller and easier to use.
If a customer quotes your Crop name, you should be able to perform a recall in Producepak from the Traceability dashboard.
FROM DASHBOARDS > YIELD:
Dates: Select a date range to include all Batches started in selected range.
View: Selects reporting method.
Options: Turn on/off charts and tables.
Supplier: Controlled by the "Owner" selected on the Crop record.
